A U.S. visitor visa (B1/B2) is a non-immigrant visa for individuals who want to visit the United States for tourism, business, or medical treatment.

Types of U.S. Visitor Visas:
B1 Visa (Business Visit) – For business-related activities such as attending conferences, meetings, or negotiations.
B2 Visa (Tourism & Medical Treatment) – For leisure travel, visiting family/friends, or receiving medical treatment.
Application Process:
Complete Form DS-160

Fill out the DS-160 form online at CEAC website.
Upload a passport-size photo meeting U.S. visa requirements.
Pay the Visa Fee

The non-refundable visa application fee is $185 (as of 2024).
Payment can be made online or at designated banks.
Schedule Visa Interview

Book an appointment at the nearest U.S. embassy/consulate via the U.S. Visa Information website.
Prepare Required Documents

Valid passport (with at least 6 months validity beyond stay in the U.S.).
DS-160 confirmation page.
Visa appointment confirmation letter.
Receipt of visa fee payment.
Travel itinerary (flight bookings, hotel reservations, etc.).
Proof of financial status (bank statements, salary slips, etc.).
Employment letter (if applicable).
Invitation letter (if visiting family/friends).
Attend the Visa Interview

Attend your interview at the U.S. embassy or consulate.
Answer questions truthfully about your travel purpose, ties to your home country, and financial ability.
Visa Processing & Decision

If approved, your passport will be stamped with the visa and returned via courier.
Processing time varies but usually takes a few weeks.
